Our Award-Winning Achievements
2024 Wilbur Award for Excellence in Communications
AIB Network is honored to have received the prestigious 2024 Wilbur Award for excellence in communications for its original series “A Taste of History with Chutzpah: Remarkable Stories of the Southern Jewish Adventure.” Presented annually by the Religion Communicators Council, the Wilbur Awards recognize outstanding work in secular media that thoughtfully and authentically addresses issues of faith and religion. This accolade places AIB Network among a distinguished group of journalists, filmmakers, and broadcasters committed to storytelling that uplifts the human spirit and explores the richness of religious and cultural life.
2017 Rainbow Push Humanitarian Award
On October 13, 2017, AIB was the proud Rainbow Push 2017 Humanitarian Award recipient. Board Chair Ms. Alexis Scott received the award on behalf of the AIB Board of Directors. Rainbow Push honored the AIB Network citing “….sustained and steadfast leadership locally, nationally and internationally in promoting religious inclusion and producing television programming that promotes understanding between religious, ethnic and economic communities. While there are many organizations who are committed to civil, human rights and inclusion, AIB has distinguished itself in bringing together the interfaith communities to promote greater awareness and understanding, which is desperately needed in today’s world.”
2016 Media Grand Award
On November 2, 2016, the Georgia Urban Forest Council (GUFC), a nonprofit organization with the mission of sustaining Georgia’s green legacy by helping communities grow healthy trees, presented its 2016 Media Grand Award for the AIB production of “Tending Our Trees.” This AIB Network program spotlights the vital connection between trees and people and the important role trees play in a healthy quality of life for communities.
GABWA Zenith Award
AIB proudly received the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorney’s (GABWA) Zenith Award for Service to the Community on July 23, 2016. This award is a representation of the diligent commitment demonstrated by the AIB Board of Directors, Staff, and Programmers to the Atlanta Community.

The John Houston Allen Humanitarian Award is presented in honor of AIB’s founder, John Houston Allen. The award is the highest award given by AIB.
