This Month
The Etowah Mounds were home to several thousand Native Americans from 1000 A.D. to 1550 A.D. Today, these mounds stand as one of the most intact Mississippian Culture sites in the Southeast. Journey with us to learn how this civilization lived in accordance with the sacred earth. The mounds provide insight into a life long forgotten, but with much knowledge and craftsmanship left behind to ponder. We will also check out the unveiling of the Global Mandala – a beautiful collection of thousands of small circles from around the world on the World Day of Prayer.
