Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church
Family & Friends Community Event

August 2, 2008

Bishop William L. Sheals and the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church family invite the community to their Annual Friends and Family Event. The fun and festivities will take place Saturday, August 2, 2008 from 10 AM to 5 PM on the Hopewell campus and in Brundage Park. Games and activities include basketball, softball, dodge ball, 3-legged race, dunk tank, inflatable and much more. A variety of health and fitness activities and services, coordinated through the church’s Health Ministry and the Congregational Health Nurse, will also be available for all. “That All May Worship: Beyond the Ramp”

Interfaith Disability Connection (IDC), The Shepherd Center and the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta will present the educational conference: That All May Worship: Beyond the Ramp, Sunday, August 3 at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. This one-day event will focus on how religious communities can make their services and programs accessible to those with disabilities. Topics will go beyond eliminating physical barriers and discuss creating services and programs in which all members can easily participate. Leaders in religious communities and disability communities, advocates and friends are invited to take part in this conference on religion, acceptance, and inclusion. Attendees will gain the knowledge, resources and motivation to make positive changes in their religious communities. Bill Glass & Champions for Life hold
Atlanta Weekend of Champions

Bill Glass and a crew of volunteer “teammates” will be visiting Atlanta’s prisons, bringing inmates the message of the gospel in a way like no other ministry on Earth September 4th – 6th. Athletes, entertainers and musicians will bring their testimony of salvation through Jesus Christ in a non-stop, two day stunt and music-driven evangelism event.
